Busy season for chocolate factories
I bet there's no one cares about who St.Valentine is in Japan because they only focus on how many and what kind of chocolates they'd get. Both boys and girls. No longer boys and no longer girls too.
Girls give chocolates to boys they like and to boys they don't like really as well, the latter is called "GILI-choco", means social duty.
For boys, to get one piece of chocolate from a girl is far different from none. (You can't count on a chocolate from your mum. That's against the Japanese rule.)
A TV show showed you the best way for boys to get a chocolate on St.Valentine's day. Which is "Left your bag open on your desk in the classroom/office but don't forget to take your wallet." Maybe some thoughtful girls drop some leftovers.
One of my colleague asked me today give him this chocolate tomorrow.
Is there any country have "White day" other than Japan?
