I'm sick of stupid Japanese titles!
I've been searching internet for a movie Garden State to get the dvd and finally found a fact that the title had been changed into Japanese title which was
Owari de Hajimari no Yokkakan
means "the 4 Days of the end and the begining".
To make it worse, the dvd jaket design looks like some kinda daggy cheap love romace movie. I don't say its original design is super cool but at least it's not with big Natalie Portman's face on.
"Who the hell is Zach Braff?
We don't know him so just put our cute Princess Leia on the top!" -ish...
We often change the original title if it's long, hard to remember or hard to pronounce for Japanese people.
But not quite these days because my number one film in 2004 Npoleon Dynamite turns to be Bus Otoko, means "the bus guy"...
Just because a TV drama called Densya Otoko, means "the train guy", was popular last year.
